Fall is such a fun time! The Bookmobile stays busy in October and November at school fall festivals and trunk or treats. Then December brings Christmas parades and events with Santa. October through December can account for 45% of our book giveaways (roughly 5,000 books)! Fall is also a busy fundraising time. We hold our signature Reading Between the Wines fundraiser in October and focus on holiday/end-of-year giving. This year’s Reading Between the Wines: “A Night in Tuscany” raised $26,950 for childhood literacy!

This December we launched a new holiday fundraiser in partnership with the Adairsville Lions Club and San Souci Women’s Club. “Storybook Christmas” is patterned after our successful “Everybunny Loves Reading” Easter campaign. Only now we have Christmas sleighs stuffed with books and other goodies children will love! Purchase to give to the children in your life this holiday season. $25 each. You can also donate a sleigh and provide books for our Christmas events.
